For anyone heading out the the city of Madrid, remember to pay a visit to the Stadium Santiago Bernabeu, which is one of the most awe inspiring sights you can possibly behold. Of course, many of you will not be football fans, but despite this, you cannot fail to be impressed by the huge walls surrounding this amazing stadium, capable of holding up to 90,000 people at one time! Right in the heart of Spain, Madrid takes its food very seriously and a good Tapas meal can occupy most of the night! Night life is wonderful in this city, and it doesn’t really come alive until after mid night. Eat at around eleven in the still warm streets on an outside cafe, and then spend the next few hours sampling some of the wonderful bars that the city has to offer, and you will soon start to understand why the Spanish believe Madrid, and not Barcelona, to be
their jewel in their crown!
Getting to Madrid is relatively easy, and there are plenty of direct flights that shouldn’t take much longer than one and a half to two hours in total.
